Community Walking Club April 17-October 26, 2017 Join us and explore the beautiful trails of Palmer Park, connect with new friends and thrive in healthy fun. Walking Coordinator, Latricia Wright leads walkers on a 50 minute guided tour through the park. All are welcome. Feel free to join for an experience that is sure to leave a lasting impression.
Bike Rides Every Thursday, April 6-October 26, 2017 Enjoy riding (weather permitting) with a fun group of cyclists around the periphery of the park, through the neighborhoods of Palmer Park Apartment District, the Golf Club neighborhood, Ferndale, New Center, Boston Edison, and more.
Henry Ford II leads cyclists on a spirited "fitness pace" of 10-15mph and tries to keep it to just one hour each week.
T’ai Chi is an internal Chinese martial art practiced for both its defense training and its health benefits. Medical research has found evidence that t’ai chi is helpful for improving balance and for general psychological health.
Peter Guenther teaches free classes starting in the Spring and continuing through to Fall. All levels welcome to join us.

Baseball & Little League Spring/Summer 2017
After many years, Little Leaguers have returned to the field at Palmer Park.
Schedules now posted for Legends League 14U, 12U Competitive, 10U Competitive and 10U New Teams Division Leagues.
Location: Palmer Park field is located on Woodward between 6 Mile and 7 Mile Roads right next to the tennis courts.
Outdoor yoga classes for all skill levels will be held on Saturday mornings beginning late Spring through Summer. We will add extra Saturday morning classes in September to make up for classes cancelled due to rain.
Location: Lawn near Splash Park parking lot, in front of the community garden.
Splash Park Summer 2017 In August of 2013, thanks to the generosity of Lear Corporation and support from the City of Detroit, the Palmer Park Splash Park replaced the non-functional pool on the west side of the park, which had been closed for many years. Open during the summer months, the splash park is motion-censored and will be programmed to turn on at 10:00 am, and automatically shut off at 10:00 pm, when Palmer Park closes.
